Advanced Script Options

Configure advanced AI agent settings

Learn how to configure advanced settings for your AI agent.

Custom End Call Message

Write a personalized message that plays when the call ends. Example: “Thanks for calling Atlas. We hope you have a wonderful day. Goodbye.”

Idle Messages

  • Add pre-configured messages like “Are you still there?” or “I’m still here if you need anything”
  • Customize your own idle messages
  • Messages activate after 7 seconds of caller silence
  • Call automatically ends after 30 seconds of silence

Prompt for Call Summary

  • Leave blank for automatic 3-4 sentence summaries of call transcripts
  • Create custom prompts for structured outputs (useful for surveys or specific data collection)
  • Example use case: Format survey responses as question-answer pairs
  • Tip: Use AI tools like Claude to help craft detailed prompts for better results
  • May require refinement through testing

For most standard use cases, leaving the call summary prompt blank provides sufficient automatic summaries.

Voicemail Behavior

For outbound campaigns, When voicemail is reached controls what the agent does if it lands in a voicemail box. The three options are mutually exclusive:

OptionWhat happens
Hang upEnds the call and leaves nothing.
Leave a spoken message (beta)The agent reads your voicemail message aloud, recognizing voicemail from what it hears said.
Detect voicemail automaticallyMore reliable detection. Leave either typed text or a recorded audio clip.

Leaving a clip instead of spoken text

With Detect voicemail automatically selected, the voicemail message can be either spoken text or an audio clip. Choosing Audio clip lets you pick one of your uploaded clips, or paste a direct https:// link to a .wav or .mp3 file. The agent stays quiet and plays the recording instead of speaking.

A link that isn’t a hosted .wav or .mp3 is rejected with a validation error. Your voicemail selection is saved with the rest of the campaign’s script settings.

Initial Message Lock

Some campaign scripts include an Initial Message field. Depending on your account configuration, this field can be locked once a campaign is live — a padlock icon appears next to the field label, and clicking it explains why.

The lock applies only to campaigns that already exist; the initial message can still be set while you are creating a campaign for the first time.
